It is odd that some countries forbid violence on the streets and then allow it in what should be a controlled manner in schools and in the homes.
In the United Kingdom corporal punishment is no longer allowed in the schools.
But parents then send their children abroad so they can be beaten half senseless in foreign schools. This traffic has not been stopped yet. The Sunday Times has published an article about this banishment of teenagers a number of years ago.
